Misery

The Arvada Center opens its 2026-2027 season with Misery, William Goldman’s stage adaptation of Stephen King’s best-selling novel. After a roadside accident, novelist Paul Sheldon wakes up incapacitated in the home of his self-proclaimed number one fan, Annie Wilkes — and quickly learns her adoration leans toward obsession. This tense cat-and-mouse thriller keeps the audience trapped in the room with Paul as he plots his escape. Note: strong language and violence; not recommended for younger audiences.
