Salida native Jay Lobeck returns home to debut her first full-length play, a Shakespeare-inspired queer joy comedy set in an Elizabethan court. When a young noblewoman’s mother schemes to prevent an unwanted marriage, mistaken identities and over-the-top complications ensue. Directed by Devon Jencks, who directed Lobeck in Salida High School productions, this staged reading serves as a workshop toward future full productions.
