The Hatmaker’s Wife

A young woman moves in with her boyfriend, expecting domestic bliss, but instead has trouble getting comfortable. Her strange new home seems determined to help, and soon the walls are talking. They reveal a magical tale of an old hatmaker and his long- suffering wife, who runs away with his favorite hat. He vows to find them, if he can ever muster the strength to leave the comforts of his armchair. Inspired by Yiddish folklore and infused with Klezmer music, The Hatmaker’s Wife is a whimsical and poignant story about family, home, and how we treat the people we love.
