Stephen King thriller, Neil Simon comedy, ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ and more highlight five-show lineup

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has announced its 2026-2027 theatre season, a five-show lineup spanning psychological thriller to contemporary musical.

The season opens in September with Misery, William Goldman’s stage adaptation of the Stephen King novel, on the Main Stage. Running concurrently in the Black Box will be Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park, a comedy about mismatched newlyweds.

The holiday slot goes to the return of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, running Nov. 20 through Jan. 3.

Spring brings John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt: A Parable to the Black Box in February, followed by the season closer Dear Evan Hansen — with book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul — on the Main Stage beginning March 26.

Single tickets go on sale July 6. Season ticket packages are available now at arvadacenter.org/subscribe.
