Prologue Forums on American Theatre: Ben Brantley

Details

For over twenty years, Ben Brantley was the chief theatre critic for The New York Times. In that capacity he was the go-to person in this country for theatre criticism and wrote some of the most important reviews of our time. He has also written several books about Broadway, and is still considered one of the greatest of contemporary critics.
To say that it is a privilege to have him on our stage, is an understatement.  Ben’s passion for the works of Stephen Sondheim make him our perfect September Prologue.  We will discuss TW’s Sweeney Todd and the spring student production of Company, in addition to contextualizing Sondheim in the history of American theater. This is not to be missed.
