Frequently Asked Questions

How do you decide which productions to review?
We aim to cover as many productions as possible throughout Colorado, prioritizing major professional productions, world premieres and new works, productions by established companies, reader requests, and geographic diversity across the state.
Do you accept press comps?
Yes, OnStage Colorado reviewers typically receive complimentary press tickets when available. This is standard practice in theatre journalism and does not influence our editorial coverage.
How can I get my production reviewed?
Theatre companies can submit show information through our submission form or contact us directly at info@onstagecolorado.com. While we cannot guarantee coverage of every production, we review submissions carefully.
What is your rating system?
We don't use a star or numerical rating system. We believe theatre is too complex to reduce to a single number. Instead, we provide detailed written analysis that readers can use to decide if a show is right for them.
Do you review community theatre?
Yes! OnStage Colorado covers all forms of Colorado theatre—professional, community, educational, and experimental. Great theatre happens at every level, and we're committed to covering the full spectrum of Colorado's theatrical landscape.
