REJECT: Story-Telling, Commentary, Art and Comedy for a 21st Century Dystopia.
REJECT entertains while addressing larger questions and truths using story-telling, social commentary, and humor. From the influence of arbitrary rejection on children and senior citizens to how arbitrary rejection acts as a catalyst for fascism, the audience is challenged to consider the impacts of rejection on culture and their lives.
REJECT ultimately encourages all who’ve experienced arbitrary rejection to find their source of healing and strength through resilience: the ability to recover, learn, grow, and create in the face of hardship.
“When we find the strength to be resilient, we can turn the pain and heartache of arbitrary rejection into monuments of truth, beauty, and art.”
Part One is autobiographical and addresses arbitrary rejection in youth. Part Two concerns aging and how rejection often deeply influences the lives of senior citizens. Part Three concludes with humor based on the rejection covered in Parts One and Two.
