Shifted Lens Theatre Company

Shifted Lens is a community theater based in Colorado that is focused on reimagining plays and musicals as immersive experiences. We believe that storytelling is an essential part of the human experience and in a world where we can access any story we can imagine in our pocket, audiences are craving new ways to experience the performance arts.

Community theater can provide an essential 3rd space, and we want to create experiences for the arts community and theater lovers to find connections, start conversations, and build community.

We believe that representation matters, both onstage and in the stories we choose to bring to life. Storytelling is how humans learn about a life they have not lived, and more now than ever, we need to be able to shift our perspective and learn about experiences other than our own. As such, we greatly encourage BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, gender non-conforming, and disabled folks to audition, submit for jobs, and consider us when looking for a producer for new works.
