The Colorado Shakespeare Festival(CSF) announced it will produce an all-outdoors season in 2021. The festival runs June 18-Aug. 15, opening with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre, followed by Mary Zimmerman’s adaptation of “The Odyssey” and two performances of “Pericles” in its Original Practices tradition.

“Last spring we were faced with the heartbreaking decision on how best to protect our community from the spread of COVID-19. While we chose to postpone the 2020 season, I’m now filled with excitement as we look toward the future. CSF is working steadfastly to reopen as safely as possible,” said Producing Artistic Director Tim Orr.

“We plan to produce a theatrical, moving and unforgettable festival much like the one we originally slated for 2020. We’re overjoyed to welcome our community home to the Rippon. It will certainly be an emotional return.”

CSF will instate enhanced health protocols for company members and patrons, such as distanced seating, contactless ticketing options and required masks.

2021 season tickets want on sale Oct. 26. Single tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase at coloradoshakes.org and over the phone at 303-492-8008. At this time, the CU Presents Box Office remains closed for in-person sales.
