The 11th Annual Neustadt JAAMM Festival, a celebration of Jewish arts, authors, movies and music, will be presented at Denver’s Mizel Arts and Culture Center at the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center starting October 4th and running through November 18th, 2018. Tickets are available online at www.jccdenver.org/jaamm and at the box office at 303-316-6360, located at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center at 350 S. Dahlia Street in Denver.

This year’s JAAMM Festival offers a diverse array of cultural events for families, young people and adults. Highlights include a family concert by Jewish rock singer, Rick Recht, a keynote presentation by Coloradoan, Bryan Fogel, winner of the 2018 Academy Award for Best Documentary for “Icarus” (a compelling look at doping in professional sports), and a concert by Grammy nominated clarinetist David Krakauer and South African-born pianist, Kathleen Tagg in “Voyages,” a journey across cultures. Other notable events include presentations/lectures by celebrated authors such as Mike Reiss, the longest writer on the television show, “The Simpsons,” who wrote the book Springfield Confidential, a humorous look at the making of the 30-year old hit show. There will also be a lecture by author/CNN commentator and viral TED Talk sensation, Sally Kohn. The festival is also hosting shows produced by Denver arts organizations: Wonderbound Dance Company and two fully-staged plays presented by Theatre Or and Cherry Creek Theatre Company.

The JAAMM Festival is presented in part by: The Piñon Trail Foundation, The Rose Community Foundation, and the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation. Ongoing operation support is provided by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). The Mizel Arts and Culture Center is located at the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center at 350 S. Dahlia Street, Denver, CO 80246.
