Our holiday show is a musical adaptation of Tom Hanks’ hit movie, “Big!” Little Josh Baskin discovers that there is a lot of truth to the old adage “Be careful what you wish for…” when he finds an enchanted Zoltar machine at his hometown carnival. That night, after wishing to be “big,” he goes to bed a 12-year-old boy and wakes up, the next morning, a 30-year-old man! Overnight, Josh is thrust into adulthood… complete with a full-time job, dramatic office shenanigans, backstabbing business partners, and the devastating realization that awkward romantic misunderstandings are ageless. Showcasing great roles for adults and children, alike, Big is a family-friendly, high-energy musical featuring singing, dancing, and… yup! …that giant, iconic floor piano!
