The Ghost Sonata

Directed by Kevin Landis, this mainstage production features UCCS Theatre & Dance students in a visceral exploration of guilt, decaying respectability, and the truths we’d rather not face. When a student enters a wealthy household led by a mysterious benefactor, secrets unravel in redolent fragments—revealing the ghosts we carry and the illusions that sustain us.

The Ghost Sonata will be accompanied by a professional music trio featuring cellist Pamela Chaddon, violinist Elisa Wicks, and pianist Simon Jacobs. Audiences are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to experience the chamber music prelude. Following each performance, Chaddon and Landis will lead a conversation exploring the intersections between the works of Bach and Strindberg.
