Comedic and touching story about two strangers who meet by letter during World War II. Jack is a military doctor stationed in Oregon, and Louise is an aspiring actress and dancer in New York City. Their fathers are friends and set them up in hopes that they will fall in love and get married. At first, Jack and Louise are skeptical about the idea, but they slowly start to develop a friendship and eventually a romance. The play is inspired by Ludwig’s parents’ own courtship during World War II.
