The Sound of Music

Set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss in 1938, this beloved musical tells the story of Maria, free- spirited young postulant, who is sent to serve as a governess to a large family while she decides whether to take her final vows to become a nun. She falls in love with the seven children, and eventually with their widowed father, the stern Captain von Trapp. Their lives are forever changed when the Captain is ordered to accept a commission in the German navy.
