Thunder River Theatre Company announces leadership shift following the departure of Sean Jeffries, Executive Director. Embracing a new paradigm, leadership of the company is now based upon the partnership of Missy Moore and Danielle Taylor-Moxon. Both Missy and Danielle are excited to lead the organization during this period of growth and embrace the possibilities that the future may bring forth. Both will continue to expand the company while continuing to guide it in fulfilling its mission and values for the Roaring Fork Valley. Be sure to come see them in action for POTUS: Or; Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, this June and keep your eyes peeled for all the thrilling programming to come in the next season. TRTC will also continue to relish such stallworth programming as The Workshop, a Colorado playwrights festival, created by Missy Moore, and the Theatre for Youth Audiences annual production, reaching students from Glenwood to Aspen.

Missy and Danielle look to challenge new opportunities of expanding the pool of theater creatives from nationwide, while remaining grounded in the local community, and promise that award winning programming will continue.

Missy Moore has been with the organization for 3 years and is a Colorado native having grown up in Summit County in the town of Breckenridge. She then went on to study theatre at the University of Wyoming and received her BFA in Theatre Performance. After graduation she moved to Chicago, Illinois and tried her hand at the theatre scene there, until she got cast in a summer season at Aspen Theatre in the Park – now Theatre Aspen. Missy then moved to Denver and continued to work as a freelance actor, director and theatre educator throughout the state for the next twenty years working with esteemed companies like The Arvada Center, Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Curious Theatre Company, The Catamounts, The Edge Theatre Company, The Aurora Fox and so many more. She is thrilled to call the Roaring Fork Valley her home now and is looking forward to working with the staff of TRTC and watching this theatre company thrive!

Danielle Taylor-Moxon has been with Thunder River Theatre Company for 2 years and is originally from the suburbs of Chicago. As a passionate theater creator, Danielle also serves as the Managing Director for SoL Theatre Company in Carbondale. Prior to that, she was the General Manager at Theatre Aspen, Director of Production at Des Moines Metro Opera, the Resident Stage Manager for the Rose Theatre in Omaha, NE. She also has experience as the Production Stage Manager for the national tours of Bye Bye Birdie, Cabaret, and AltarBoyz. Danielle received her BA in Technical Theatre from Purdue University and her MFA in Production Management and Arts Administration from Boston University. Danielle has always been passionate about the arts and is a fierce advocate for arts education. She is excited to continue the traditions of TRTC while pushing the company to break artistic barriers.
