Miners Alley Playhouse Main Stage 2022 Season
Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo

Directed by Rory Pierce
One of the Funniest Comedies of the 20th Century! Charlotte and George Hay, an acting couple not exactly the Lunts, are on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac “revised, one nostril version” and Noel Coward’s Private Lives. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and hilarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf, old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body.
Blue Ridge
A new play by Abby Rosebrock

Directed by Len Matheo
Premiering at The Atlantic Theater Company in 2018 to great reviews, Miners Alley presents the regional premiere of this pitch-dark comedy about heartbreak, hell-raising and healing.

HAIR
Book and Lyrics by Gerome Ragni & James Rado / Music by Galt MacDermot
August 5 – October 2, 2022
Directed by Len Matheo, Music Directed by David Nehls
The American tribal love rock musical Hair celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “Hair,” “I Got Life” and “Let The Sun Shine.” Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, Hair remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.
“Though much has changed between 1968 and 2018, Hair continues to be relevant. Many of the cultural divides that began to express themselves in 1968 seem to still exist today…Perhaps this is why Hair has continued to be produced so frequently.” – Peter Libbey, The New York Times
“Hair is more than just a musical: it is a social and cultural phenomenon, a jubilant assertion of life and freedom and a cry of protest…a vibrant, joyous piece of living theatre.” – Michael Billington, The Guardian

A Christmas Story is destined to become a theatrical holiday perennial.
Rory Pierce, MAP’s Children’s Theatre Director is also excited to announce the 2022 Children’s Theatre. He says, “We are so happy to be back with a full season of shows for children and the whole family! We can’t wait to get the kids involved in our stories again, both on stage and in the audience, and to hear the laughter of kids and adults filling our theatre once more! I know it’s been a while, so don’t forget to bring your cameras because you can still take pictures before, during (especially if your kid gets on stage!) and after the shows. See you in 2022!”
