Coal Creek Theater of Louisville

The theater follows a policy of never repeating productions, ensuring each season brings fresh stories to Louisville audiences. Productions range from thought-provoking dramas to comedies, performed by community members from Louisville and surrounding areas. Coal Creek Theater maintains a philosophy of producing high-quality, full-scale productions that challenge performers while entertaining audiences.
The company's mission is to preserve and propagate the theater arts in eastern Boulder County and surrounding Colorado communities, providing an arena for amateur performers to participate in theatrical arts. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the theater relies on ticket sales, donations and volunteer support to sustain live theater in historic Louisville.
Coal Creek Theater performs at the Louisville Center for the Arts, an 1894 building originally constructed as a two-room schoolhouse and listed on the Louisville Register of Historic Places. The renovated facility maintains its historic appearance while providing full accessibility. The venue has a maximum capacity of 80 individuals and hosts various arts events throughout the year in addition to Coal Creek Theater productions.
