To conclude the season, FLC will take you to Moscow, Russia in 1812, the setting of Leo Tolstoy’s novel, War and Peace. Don’t worry, we are not doing a musical encompassing the entirety of Tolstoy’s epic work, but rather a 70-page segment, which became the Broadway hit, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.

Composer/lyricist Dave Malloy’s adaptation focuses on “Natasha’s romance with Anatole and Pierre’s search for the meaning of his own life” (NY Post). Great Comet got its start in the Meatpacking District and then a tent in the Manhattan Theater District before making its way up to Broadway (starring Josh Groban and Phillipa Soo) and 12 Tony Award nominations. This production will be an immersive experience with the company using the entire theatre as its stage.
