After months of work and a community survey, on Nov. 6, 2023 the Lafayette City Council adopted the name Arapaho Center for this historic building. This building, built in 1892, was the former home of the Congregational Church. Funded primarily by Mary Miller, the founder of Lafayette, the building has functioned as an emergency hospital and a library. It is now used as a community theater. Learn more about this historical landmark on the city’s historical preservation webpage.
