Louisville Center for the Arts is a historic venue in downtown Louisville housed in an 1894 building originally constructed as a two-room schoolhouse. Listed on the Louisville Register of Historic Places, the facility has been renovated to maintain its historic appearance while providing full accessibility.
The venue serves as home to multiple resident arts organizations including Coal Creek Theater of Louisville and CenterStage Theatre Company. The facility has a maximum capacity of 80 individuals and hosts theater productions, art shows, concerts, classes for adults and children, and community meetings throughout the year.
The City of Louisville owns and operates the venue, with arts events given priority use of the facility. Resident arts groups can book the space in July for the following calendar year, while dates for private parties and non-arts activities are released to the public 120 days prior to rental.
