Aurora Fox Arts Center Announces 41st Season

The Aurora Fox Arts Center has announced its 41st season lineup, featuring five productions running from January through December 2026 at the Mainstage Theater, 9900 E. Colfax Ave.

The season will include Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, James Ijames’ Pulitzer Prize-winning Fat Ham, the musical Violet, Kirsten Greenidge’s Feeding Beatrice, and Hank Williams: Lost Highway.

“This season showcases the breadth and depth of live theater,” said Rich Cowden, executive producer of the Aurora Fox. “From timeless classics to groundbreaking contemporary works, Season 41 offers something to inspire, challenge and entertain every audience member.”

The season opens Jan. 30, 2026, with Waiting for Godot, directed by Richard R. Cowden. Fat Ham, directed by donnie l. betts, reimagines Shakespeare’s Hamlet in a Southern backyard barbecue setting.

Aurora Fox will present Violet as a co-production with Phamaly Theatre Company. The musical, with music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, will be directed by Ben Raanan and features gospel, folk and bluegrass music while exploring themes of self-discovery and healing.

The fall production Feeding Beatrice, directed by Betty Hart, combines horror and dark comedy in a story about a young couple and their ghostly housemate. The season concludes with Hank Williams: Lost Highway by Randal Myler and Mark Harelik, directed by Abby Apple Boes, which celebrates the life and music of the country music star.

The theater will debut renovations to the Mainstage Theater for the upcoming season, including new seating designed to improve audience comfort and accessibility.

Season Flexpasses and individual tickets are available. Special discounts were introduced at the Season 41 Announcement Celebration on Sept. 6.
