A young woman named Alice wakes to find herself isolated in the middle of the desert in a trailer home. With her is Jim, a man who says he found her beat up and unconscious, and is now trying to nurse her back to health. Soon Alice finds herself fighting to survive, caught between risky reality and fearsome fantasy.

This play is written by Springs Ensemble Theatre member Jessica Weaver, who also co-wrote Stocking Stuffers and The Gnome in the Room for SET. The Last Rabbit, originally conceived and selected as a staged reading for the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center’s Rough Writers Festival, finally gets its World Premiere here on our stage.

Guest artist and horror aficionado Bob Morsch makes his directing debut with SET, leading Abby Gaydos as Alice, who has been taken by Jim, played by SET Member Taylor Geiman. A trio of actors, David Brown, Ellie Hinkle, and Brittany Nicole Merritt, play the creature Ahiga, with Justin Anderson rounding out the cast as the Police Officer.
