Curious Kids Series

Theatre Artibus’s summer family series at The Savoy Denver delivers a string of original shows, puppetry and hands-on workshops for kids ages 4–11 and their grownups. Three outdoor puppet shows on the Starlight Puppet Theatre — a portable stage parked outside the Savoy — kick things off, each followed by a puppet-making workshop where kids build their own and perform on the Starlight stage. Know A Neighbor, Thompson Powers’s heartwarming groundhog adventure, plays June 21 at 10 a.m. (workshop to 1 p.m.); the original bilingual Tiliti and the Lost Gems from Katy Williams Design and Tiliti Kids follows June 22 at 10 a.m. (workshop to 1 p.m.); and Katy Williams’s The Big Bug Adventure closes the puppet run June 23 at 10 a.m. (workshop to 1 p.m.). In July, Birgitta De Pree brings Hans Christian Andersen to life in Suitcase Fairytales July 11 at 11 a.m. and July 12 at 2 p.m., and Christopher Keller turns mops into monsters in Myths, Mops & Mischief — a Greek-myth romp co-created with De Pree — July 25 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
