Pulse of America by The Denver Brass

Timed for Memorial Day and in advance of America’s 250th anniversary, the show is a powerful, locally rooted tribute and a stirring season finale honoring 250 years of American resilience, unity, and innovation through bold, cinematic brass music.
The program will feature Sketches of Courage, a symphonic poem created by Denver-based composer Sean Shaffer Hennessy. The work is inspired by the WWII sketchbook filled with drawings by his grandfather, Francis Xavier Hennessy II.
Pulse of America is a celebration of local artistry at a nationally significant moment. As communities across the country begin commemorating America’s Semiquincentennial, The Denver Brass offers a distinctly Colorado perspective: world-class musicians performing in an intimate setting, creating a shared experience that resonates across generations.
