The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson, is a witty and empowering and contemporary comedy that takes place during the French Revolution.  Set in 1793 Paris, it follows four fierce, badass women – Olympe de Gouges, a passionate revolutionary playwright; Marianne, a spy and determined rebel for the rights of all; and the famous Charlotte Courday and Marie Antoinette.  These women must navigate their roles in a time of political and social upheaval.  With incredible humor, passion and courage, these women challenge societal norms and fight for liberation of the oppressed amidst the chaos of revolution.
