Murray is joined by the two leads in the show, plus we interview John Moore with the Denver Actors Fund about their upcoming fundraiser ‘Miscast’
In this week’s episode of the OnStage Colorado podcast, we catch up with Helen R. Murray, GerRee Hinshaw and Adriane Leigh Robinson with the Aurora Fox’s new production of the road-trip musical Miss You Like Hell (review). The show just opened, and director Murray talks about what the show says about America in today’s times of immigration crises while the two actors — both Mexican American — discuss what the show means to them and the process of bringing their complex characters to life.
Also in this episode, we talk to John Moore with the Denver Actors Fund, an organization that raises money for theatre artists in need in Colorado. The DAF has a big fundraiser, Miscast, coming up Sept. 30.
We also have quick review-previews of Miss You Like Hell, Pass Over at Curious Theatre, Tiny Beautiful Things from Boulder Ensemble
Theatre Company and A Doll’s House and A Doll’s House 2 at the Denver Center.
