Kevin Douglas also joins as operations manager

TELLURIDE, COLO. (May 22, 2025) – Telluride Theatre has announced the hiring of Ryan Heidenreich as the organization’s new Executive Director. The organization has also created a new Operations Manager position, filled by Kevin Douglas. Sasha Cucciniello will continue as Artistic Director.
Heidenreich joins Telluride Theatre after six years as Food and Beverage Manager of the New Sheridan Chop House. He has performed in several Telluride Theatre productions including Susan & Kevin’s Christmas Party, Yacht Rockin’, and Prep School Musical, and brings experience in management, business and theatre.
“Ryan’s passion for theatre and Telluride, combined with his professionalism and work ethic, made him the right choice for this role,” states Sasha Cucciniello, Artistic Director.
Ryan will lead the company and staff as well as oversee fundraising. He plans to bring both creativity and management skills to expand Telluride Theatre’s programming.
“I have always wanted to work in the performing arts and am grateful for this opportunity to work with this company. Theatre is my passion and I hope to bring new ideas and consistency with my management and leadership experience.”
Kevin Douglas comes from Denver, CO where he co-founded theatre company Two Cent Lion. His new role as Operations Manager brings him to Telluride as a full-time resident.
“Kevin’s passion for theatre and organization, plus his interest in moving to Telluride, made him a good fit,” Sasha says. “Kevin aligns with Telluride Theatre’s mission of building community.”
“I’ve visited Telluride for camping and worked for Film Fest, but never thought I’d live here year-round,” Kevin says. “When I discovered Telluride Theatre, I knew their mission and community were a good match for me. I moved here within two months of the interview.”
Ryan studied Musical Theatre and Dance at the University of Northern Colorado and worked as an actor in New York City for seven years before returning to Colorado.
Kevin has been writing, performing and sound designing since age 13. He spent a year in London studying film production and has worked in Colorado’s theatre and film communities.
Kevin will appear this summer as Proteus in Telluride Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona.
